The North American Hockey League announced today that their 2015 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will be moving to Ann Arbor.

The annual event, presented by Easton Hockey, will be held February 23-24 at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube, home of the U.S. National Team Development Program.

The tournament previously took place at the Troy Sports Center.

The NAPHL and NA3HL tournaments will be at the same venue on the same days, as well – the first time that the three tournaments will all be played in the same building.

Five teams will feature 100 of the top NAHL players for the event, with each team taking part in two games. The NTDP Under-18 Team will play one of the divisional teams on Feb. 23, and the NTDP Under-17 Team will play the NAHL 18U Selects Team on Feb. 24.

2015 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament Schedule

Monday, February 23rd: NAHL 1 vs. NAHL 2, 1pm – NAHL 18U Selects vs. NAHL 4, 4pm – NAHL 3 vs. USNTDP-18, 7pm

Tuesday, February 24th: NAHL 1 vs. NAHL 3, 11am – NAHL 2 vs. NAHL 4, 2pm – NAHL 18U Selects vs. USNTDP-17, 5pm

“With the addition of both USNTDP teams, as well as, the NAPHL and NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments, we feel we have upgraded an already outstanding event and we are expecting the 2015 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament to be the best one to date,” said NAHL Commissioner Mark Frankenfeld in a release. “Statistics and history has shown that the vast majority of players who participate in the event, end up with an NCAA opportunity. The event continues to provide the hundreds of scouts in attendance with a look at the best uncommitted players our league has to offer, as well as, some of our best, young stars. The addition of the USNTDP should take the competition to the next level and provide our players with a great opportunity to showcase their skills.”
