Big Ten/Hockey East Challenge resumes for second year

The Big Ten Conference officially announced the second season of their Big Ten/Hockey East Challenge today, which will feature 20 games between the two college hockey conferences.

Ten games in Big Ten home rinks and ten games in Hockey East home rinks will take place between October 10 and November 29.

Michigan will take on UNH, UMass Lowell and Boston University during the timeframe, while Michigan State will take on UMass, BU and UMass Lowell.

“As we move into the second year of the Big Ten/Hockey East Challenge, the event continues to offer student-athletes a great opportunity to play in high-level games against top competition,” said Big Ten Associate Commissioner Jennifer Heppel in a release. “The event reinforces our excellent relationship with Hockey East and helps promote the game of college hockey across the nation.”
