The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced today that they are launching a new digital network called NCHC.tv for the start of the upcoming season.

The new conference, about to start its second campaign, has partnered with NeuLion to launch their own video network – the first single-sport conference in the NCAA to do so.

“We are extremely excited to provide an innovative and integrated concept to our passionate NCHC fan base!” said NCHC commissioner Josh Fenton in a release. “The creation of NCHC.tv helps build the brand of the conference and improve the overall fan interaction and experience,” Fenton said. “This significant step forward is a credit to the vision of our member schools for wanting to create something that distinguishes our conference. We look forward to working alongside NeuLion to build the network and content long into the future.”

That means fans of the Western Michigan Broncos (or other NCHC members) can watch nearly all of their team’s games live, whether they are at home or on the road. They will also be able to watch other NCHC at the same time. Subscribers will also have access to archived games and condensed games.

There will be free on-demand video content, as well, for all eight NCHC programs and the conference itself. The free content will include game highlights, mid-week and post-game press conference, conference features like ‘Top 5 Goals of the Week’ and more.

Subscribers will have access to more than 100 games throughout the season, including 70 conference games and 30 non-conference games. The videos will be available on various devices, as well.
