Mag: David Moss proves that a pro hockey career is possible, no matter the route

Years of A and AA travel hockey followed by a high school hockey stint is a route countless youth take in their hockey career.

Often times, that’s also where the road ends before falling back on recreational hockey. But to wind up in the NHL?

It wasn’t the most orthodox route to get there, or even a common one in today’s game for that matter, but it sure worked out well for Livonia native and Catholic Central alum David Moss.

“Growing up playing in Livonia and then moving onto high school, the program is really solid and they develop players well,” Moss said. “I was just fortunate enough to make it to the NHL.”
