MiHockey’s ‘The Shift’ with Kyle Connor

Welcome to MiHockey’s new feature ‘The Shift’ – hockey questions for hockey players. In each ‘The Shift’ feature, we take you through the mindset of today’s hockey player through a question-and-answer session, profiling players from the NHL all the way down to youth travel hockey.

Kyle Connor is our second ‘The Shift’ featured player (Mackenzie MacEachern kicked things off last week). The Youngstown Phantoms forward, a University of Michigan commit, has been establishing himself as a top-tier prospect for the 2015 NHL Draft. The Shelby Township native was second in USHL scoring, recording 74 points (31 goals and 43 assists), setting a Youngstown franchise record in the process. He also recorded a point in every single one of Team USA’s Under-18 World Championship title run, while leading all U.S. players with a +8 rating at the same time.
