Alec Martinez scores Stanley Cup-clinching goal for Los Angeles (videos)

It’s a memory that will last a lifetime, and one that every hockey player dreams of.

Last night, Rochester native Alec Martinez scored the Stanley Cup-clinching goal for his Los Angeles Kings in the second overtime of Game 5.

Martinez wasn’t the only Michigan connection involved in the series, however. Fellow Michigan native Matt Greene, a Grand Ledge native, was an anchor on the blue line for the Kings once again. And former Plymouth Whalers star Justin Williams was named the Conn Smythe winner as playoff MVP for LA.
