The Canadian Hockey League – governing body of the OHL, WHL and QMJHL – announced their players of the week today, and Alex Nedeljkovic was one of the names featured.

The Plymouth Whalers’ netminder was named the CHL Vaughn Goaltender of the Week for the week ending on March 2, after he posted a 2-0-0-1 record with a shutout, a 0.97 goals-against average and .973 save percentage.

The 18-year-old from Parma, Ohio, is one of the top goaltending prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft. This year, his second with the Whalers, Nedeljkovic leads all OHL goaltenders in minutes played and in saves. He holds a 23-25-07 record, a 2.91 save percentage and .925 save percentage.

It is the second time this season that Nedeljkovic receives the award; he was the goaltender of the week from Sept. 23-29, as well.
