Grosse Pointe South’s Shield, Pioneer’s Hurd share Miss Hockey award

There is not one, but two Miss Hockey award winners this season.

Tenley Shield of Grosse Pointe South and Caroline Hurd of Ann Arbor Pioneer were named the co-recipients of the award, it was announce earlier this week.

Shield, a second straight Miss Hockey winner, scored 27 goals and 11 assists in 38 games this season.

Hurd, meanwhile, recorded 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points in only 18 games.
