When you consistently win the rookie of the month award, there’s a good chance you’ll finish on the all-rookie team at the end of the regular season.

Farmington Hills native Andie Anastos was named to the Hockey East’s Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team today, after winning the rookie of the month award three out of the five months of the 2013-14 campaign.

Anastos, daughter of Michigan State head coach Tom Anastos, recorded 35 points (14 goals and 21 assists) in 34 games to lead the conference in rookie scoring. The Boston College freshman and Honeybaked product was one of two unanimous All-Rookie selections.

Meanwhile, Anastos’ teammate Taylor Wasylk picked up an award, as well. Wasylk, a senior forward from Port Huron, was named the league’s Gladiator Best Defensive Forward Award winner. The Little Caesars product set new career-highs in assists (18) and points (29) to add to a career total of 95 points.
