The Canadian Hockey League announced today their 40 players who will compete in the 2014 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, and three Plymouth Whalers made the cut.

The game, which will take place in Calgary on Jan. 15, 2014, will feature the top 40 draft-eligible players from the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Plymouth Whalers will send goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic (Parma, Ohio) and forward Matt Mistele (Whitby, ON) to compete for Team Cherry at the prospects game, while Whalers defenseman Alex Peters (Blyth, ON) will skate for Team Orr.

Plymouth native Aaron Haydon has also been invited to the prestigious game; the Niagara IceDogs defenseman will join Peters on the Team Orr defensive unit.

Nedeljkovic and Haydon both participated in the USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game in Pittsburgh last September, as well.
