Red Wings announce full list of activities for Hockeytown Winter Festival

The Red Wings announced today a complete list of the on-ice activities taking place at Comerica Park during the Hockeytown Winter Festival.

Sled hockey games will begin on Dec. 16, the earliest listed activity to take place on the outdoor ice. From there, youth games, high school games, adult games, open skating and more cover the event calendar.

Here are the open skating times:

• Tuesday, Dec. 17: 8 – 8:50 a.m., 9:30 – 10:20 a.m., 11 – 11:50 a.m., 12:30 – 1:20 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 20: 9 – 9:50 a.m., 10:30 – 11:20 a.m.
• Tuesday, Dec. 24: 8 – 8:50 a.m., 9:30 – 10:20 a.m., 11 – 11:50 a.m., 12:30 – 1:20 p.m., 2 – 2:50 p.m.

Public open skate events are available for purchase in 50-minute increments. Prices are $25/adult, $15/kids 14 & under and $5/non-skater. Kids 2 & under are free. Fans can bring their own skates or rent skates for $10.

• Men’s League Hockey on Dec.17
• USA Adult Hockey on Dec.21
• Youth Hockey games on Dec.21-23
• USA Hockey Clinic on Dec. 23.

Plus, the Red Wings will practice on the Comerica Park ice surface on Dec.18. That event will take place at noon, and is open to the public, free of charge.
