MHSHCA and MiHockey form new partnership for high school hockey coverage

The Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association and MiHockey are proud to announce a new partnership to help grow the exposure of the sport at the high school level.

With the new partnership, MiHockey becomes the media partner of the Michigan High School Hockey Hub. Articles, photos and videos from MiHockey’s two media platforms – MiHockeyNow.com and MiHockeyMag – will be featured on the official Michigan High School Hockey Hub website.

“We’re really excited about this relationship with MiHockey,” said Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association President Don Wright. “It will give high school hockey more exposure throughout the entire state, and will be great for fans to see more coverage of not only the Detroit area, but the west side of the state, northern Michigan, and the Upper Peninsula.”

In addition, the MHSHCA will work with MiHockey to increase coverage of high school hockey. MiHockey will be the first publication to share the weekly MHSHCA Div. 1-3 polls, and they will highlight a high school game for each week of the season.

“High school hockey has more participants than any other level of hockey in our state,” said MiHockey editor Michael Caples. “As a former high school player myself, I look forward to working with Don Wright and the MHSHCA to increase our coverage of high school hockey, and help increase exposure for their teams and players.”

The MHSHCA and MiHockey will also work together to assemble a comprehensive high school hockey preview publication that will feature every team in the State of Michigan.

More information about the new partnership between the MHSHCA and MiHockey will be released closer to the start of the 2013-14 high school hockey season.
