USA Hockey announced their 23-man roster for the U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Team today, the squad that will represent the U.S. at the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Under-18 Championship from April 18-28, in Sochi, Russia.

The U.S. has won four straight gold medals at the prestigious international event.

Three players return from last year’s gold-medal winning team – J.T. Compher (a Michigan Wolverines commit and Northbrook, Ill., native), along with Anthony Louis (Winfield, Ill.) and Will Butcher (Sun Prairie, Wisc.)

Four Michigan natives – all forwards – made the roster:

  • Evan Allen – Sterling Heights (Michigan commit)
  • Dawson Cook – Cadillac (Notre Dame commit)
  • Michael McCarron – Macomb (Western Michigan commit)
  • Tyler Motte – St. Clair (Michigan commit)
