The Red Wings host those guys from Colorado tonight for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The Free Press has reported that we shouldn’t be expecting to see Val Filppula any time this week, while Carlo Colaiacovo is improving but still not ready, either.

No more news on Darren Helm or Todd Bertuzzi.

Chesterfield native Steven Oleksy has signed a three-year deal with the Washington Capitals, and is expected to make his NHL debut tonight. Can’t wait to see how he does.
