Twenty-three rinks across Michigan to offer Try Hockey clinics during Hockey Day in Michigan weekend

On Feb. 16, USA Hockey and over 20 local programs across the state will encourage kids to come to a local participating rink and try youth hockey as part of Hockey Day in Michigan, presented by Warrior Hockey. Throughout the state, Boys and girls, ages 4 to 9, are invited to visit a variety of rinks across the state to partake in a Try Hockey for Free clinic, designed to let children experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment. All locations will have a limited amount of equipment available for use.

The Try Hockey for Free clinic is part of USA Hockey’s 6th annual Hockey Weekend Across America celebration, which runs nationwide Feb. 15-17. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint effort between USA Hockey, the National Hockey League, and NHL member clubs.

Below is a list of the participating rinks, and a link for more information on how to sign up for their Try Hockey For Free clinic (all events are on Feb. 16 unless otherwise noted):
