CCHA Players of the Week – Jan. 2
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced their players of the week today, and two Ferris State Bulldogs were included on the list.
Junior Simon Denis was named the ‘Gladiator Defenseman of the Week’, while freshman Brandon Anselmini was named the ‘Gongshow Rookie of the Week’.

Ryan Dzingel, OSU

Dzingel scored his first career hat trick in a 5-4 loss to Penn State on Saturday. He also finished the weekend +2.
Gladiator® Defenseman of the Week
Simon Denis, FSU Jr. (Burnaby, BC)
Denis had a goal and added an assist in a 5-3 loss to No. 11 Cornell on Friday and added an assist in a 6-2 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday. He also had three shots on goal and finished +3 on the weekend.
Warrior® Goaltender of the Week
Andrew Hammond, BGSU
Jr. (Surrey, BC)
Hammond stopped 38 shots in a 3-0 shutout of No. 17 Niagara on Saturday.
Gongshow® Rookie of the Week
Brandon Anselmini, FSU
D (Guelph, ON)
Anselmini had two assists in a 5-3 loss to No.11 Cornell on Friday and scored a goal in a 6-2 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday. He finished the weekend +1 with two blocks and three shots on goal.
