ANN ARBOR – In a final tune-up before their 2012-13 season, the Wolverines took on some of their own – both past and present.

The Wolverines hosted their Blue/White Alumni Game Sunday afternoon, a game in which the current roster battled against each other, along with some help from Michigan alums like Jack Johnson and Mike Knuble.

For statistical purposes, the ‘Blue Team’ won 4-2 in a game that saw plenty of both action and laughs amongst current and former teammates.

Sophomore forward Alex Guptill had the first three goals for Team Blue, while junior forward Derek DeBlois added the insurance marker late in the game. Knuble had back-to-back goals for Team White, but it wasn’t enough.

Along with Johnson and Knuble, alums Matt Hunwick, Andy Hilbert and Matt Rust returned to Yost to take part in the game.

After the game, fans were welcomed onto the ice to skate with the current team and collect autographs from the players.
